    Oolong tea hails from the countries of Taiwan and China. Taiwan in particular is renowned for the Oolong tea. The tea-growing areas of China are Anxi, Wuyi Mountains, Guangdong, and Fujian provinces.

    The tea is plucked at a time similar to that of green tea. However, the process of fermentation, oxidation, and harvest is different. The tea is aged for years gives it a rich flavor profile. On average, the tea is aged for almost three years. 

    Where Does the Pu-erh Tea Come From?

    Pu-erh tea is a native tea from the Yunan province of China. Only the tea produced in this province is termed the Pu-erh. However, the other varieties of tea of the species are grown in provinces like Guandong and Hunan.

    The term is used for the beverages made from substances other than the tea leaves but steeped in the same manner. The herbal tea is not typically the ‘tea’ as it is not sourced from the Camellia Sinensis plant.

    Rooibos Tea
